Phoebe Axa is a young rising pop starlet who is gearing up for stardom. Phoebe was discovered doing an open mic at Latitude Festival a few years ago, and as a result BBC Introducing invited her to perform on their stage the next day. This in turn caused a snowball effect and she is now a recording artist, with management, label and publisher.
In the beginning of 2020, Phoebe started playing live shows and supported both Violet Skies and now US Superstar Tate McRae. She then went on to sign a publishing deal with Kobalt and a record deal with Awal. In August 2020, she released her debut single “Wisdom Teeth (Pressure)” and since then has been building her fan-base with her catchy melodies, direct lyrics and a style that is uniquely hers. With all of this working in her favour, Phoebe has the potential to catch the eyes and ears of many young adults around her age and shoot into mainstream territory.
Since releasing her debut single, Phoebe has released several more. Even though it isn’t 100% clear as to what she is gearing towards, it begs the question; are these stand-alone singles? Is she planning on releasing an EP or an album? One thing is certain, and that is the industry is starting to take note. Recently, Phoebe was included in Dork Magazine’s 2021 Hype List and has even been played on Radio 1 by Josh Franceschi from the band You Me at Six, when he picked her song “Hurts a Little Less” for his Future Artists Mixtape on Jack Saunders' show. As well as all of this, she sold out her debut headline show at Omeara, London which is scheduled to take place on 31st March (no info as to if/when it will be rescheduled).
Phoebe has just released her brand new single “Bed” which is an electro-pop anthem that has the listener harking back to a previous love and overthinking, which is what great pop songs do. The song has also just surpassed 50,000 streams on Spotify despite only being released a week ago. So do yourself a favour and get familiar with Phoebe Axa and her undeniable talent.
